Terms & Reservation Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
These terms cover bookings at Franzent and the use of this website. They are written plainly and apply alongside Austrian law.
Booking and deposit
Because we cook one menu for a single seating each night, every seat counts. A reservation is confirmed once a per-guest deposit is taken; the deposit is set against your bill on the evening. Until the deposit is received, a booking is only a request.
Changes and cancellation
Plans change, and we try to be reasonable. Cancel or change a booking at least 72 hours before your sitting and the deposit is refunded in full or moved to another date. Inside 72 hours, or for guests who do not arrive, the deposit is retained, as the seat can rarely be filled at short notice. If we ever have to cancel a service, your deposit is returned in full.
The menu
We serve a single tasting menu that changes with the season and the day's market, so we cannot promise that any particular dish shown on this website will be served on your visit. With a day's notice we will gladly adapt the menu for allergies and for ingredients you would rather avoid, and a full vegetarian menu is always available. Please tell us of any allergy when you book; we handle allergens with care but cannot guarantee a kitchen entirely free of any given ingredient.
Arrival
The kitchen begins at 18:30 for the whole room. We hold your table for thirty minutes; after that, late arrival may mean missing the opening courses, which we are not able to serve separately.
Prices and payment
Prices on this site include Austrian VAT and are shown per guest. Optional wine and non-alcoholic pairings are charged in addition. We are happy to seat guests under the legal drinking age, but alcoholic pairings are served only to guests of legal age on request.
Use of this website
The text and photographs on franzent-restorant.pro are ours; you are welcome to link to the site and to quote short passages with credit. Reproducing whole pages for commercial use needs our written permission.
Liability
We take responsibility for the food and service we provide. We are not liable for matters genuinely outside our control, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory Austrian consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Austrian law, and any dispute that cannot be settled in correspondence falls to the competent courts of Vienna.
